About the presenter
Denise Merlino, MBA, CNMT, CPC, FSNMTS, is a consultant to a variety of healthcare organizations, and has become a much sought-after speaker on topics ranging from ambulatory payment classification (APC) groups to physician fee schedules. She is both a certified professional coder and a certified nuclear medicine technologist, possessing more than 20 years of experience in hospitals and physician group practices, addressing both clinical and revenue management issues. Special areas of expertise include medical imaging, drug and radiopharmaceutical reimbursement, hospital and physician office management, and payer relations. Ms. Merlino serves as a coding advisor to the Society of Nuclear Medicine, and is a founding member of the organization’s Nuclear Medicine APC Task Force. She also provides consulting services to the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
