About the presenter
Denise Merlino, MBA, CNMT,
CPC, FSNMTS, is a consultant
to a variety of healthcare
organizations, and has become

payment classification (APC)
groups to physician fee
schedules. She is both a
certified professional coder
and a certified nuclear
medicine technologist, possessing
more than 20 years of experience
in hospitals and physician
group practices, addressing
both clinical and revenue
management issues. Special

medical imaging, drug and
radiopharmaceutical reimbursement,
hospital and physician office
management, and payer relations.
