Coding Strategies, Inc., the leader in coding and compliance consulting and education for the healthcare industry, hosts a 2-day, specialty-focused, ICD-10-CM seminar in Atlanta, GA.  These Specialty Workshops and Training (S.W.A.T.) sessions will be presented August 18 & 19, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Midtown.

The transition to ICD-10-CM has been a start and stop ride for many healthcare providers.  Delays in implementation caused many to question how and when  to prepare .  As the implementation date of Oct. 1, 2015 approaches,  Coding Strategies, Inc. President, Melody W. Mulaik, says, that time is now.  "Failure to prepare adequately for the ICD-10 conversion could result in devastating consequences in the form of delayed billing, incorrect claims and missed reimbursement.   We want to urge healthcare professionals to prepare now, before it's too late."

Coding Strategies has hosted S.W.A.T. seminars across the country since 2012 (the initial implantation date of ICD-10-CM was Oct. 1, 2013).  The Atlanta seminar will be the last of the pre-implementation workshops. 

S.W.A.T. sessions cover ICD-10-CM coding fundamentals and code assignments for common clinical services.  Attendees choose between a Radiology-focused track and an Oncology-focused track.  Past attendees include coding professionals, coding managers, administrators, compliance officers, HIM directors, payors and more.
