1,900 new Dx codes and 3,651 hospital inpatient CPTs?

Brace yourself: The CDC and CMS has announced that they will be adding roughly 1,900 new diagnostic codes and 3,651 new hospital inpatient procedure codes to the ICD-10 list for the 2017 fiscal year.
- There was a freeze on updates to the codes prior to the October 1, 2015
implementation date, according to the American Hospital Association (AHA).
- CMS' website has a list of the new procedural codes and the new diagnosis
codes will be released next month.
