DAQ Billing

In the AAPC coding magazine there is an advert for DAQ billing. They say 25,000 physicians use Antek software daily, should you?....

Does anyone online use it, and how is it?

I do not use DAQ billing but I am familiar with it...  The company is right here in my home town and the person who helped develop it owns a billing company here also.  I do not recommend it.  I have heard that the software is free but you have to pay them like $2000 for training...I don't care for the lady who helped develop it.  I took a class that she taught about starting a medical billing company and was not at all impressed with her...I felt that she was trying to discourage people from starting their own billing services rather than give them goos resources they can turn to and stuff like that...

Good luck and hope this helps

Hi Brenda, thanks for the reply. Wow that is a lot of $$ just for training.

I just checked out your web site. 18 years experience. Thats excellent. You must know your stuff!

So if you dont mind me asking what software do you use or would you recommend for a small chiropractic office.

Hi

I currently use DAQ, the previous response is incorrect training is $1200.00 for 14 hours of training, unlimited tech support and FREE updates. There is no user cost meaning you can have unlimited users on the program which in it self is priceless. Compare to SoftAide which charges 5000.00 for the software and 1200.00 for each add user, of Medical Manager which cost $10,000 for the software and $150 a month. For a chiro office I always recommend Chiro2000 it is Chiropractic specific and the price isnt bad I think it runs around $1500.00.  Althoug you will need to do all your own back up and purchase additional users if needed. I have been in business as a biling service for 12 years and used almost every software out there the best hands down for me has been DAQ.

I love Claimgear, affordable software, easy to navigate and network with your clients.  Download a demo at www.claimgear.com

Good luck choosing your software, not all software's fit the person so you have to find the one that fits you (it's like a pair of shoes).

We are in the process of contracting with DAQ billing.  I did a 40 minute demo and loved what I saw.  Customer service is very prompt from my experience thus far, and the cost of the training, plus the monthly fee is really not that bad for the convenience.  They submit all e-claims and mail claim forms.  They update the system every 2-3 months and you do not have to worry about backing up a server.  I also love the reporting.  They are willing to work with you as well to develop any report you require if they don't already have it (I think they have about 100 reports available) and also to customize the software to work with your provider's needs.  I am so excited about using this software!!!

My wife and I looked at DAQ.  What we found is that they get you like the fast food restaurants or the movie theatres.  Pay $1.00 for a hamburger and they get you with the fries and drink.. Or pay $5.00 to get into the movies and pay $8.00 for popcorn and $4.00 for a small soda.  You can pay forever and you still own nothing!  Plus, you have to submit your claims through them, then they submit to a clearinghouse - costing you anywhere between 90 cents to $1.11 per claim.  Also, their ERA files are .38 cents a piece.  They are also an ASP - meaning you have to access the application via the web.  Our web is down at least once a month so we're not interested in going that route.  We want to someday have a large billing operation, so this isn't a viable choice for us.  We didn't look at it from the perspective of using it for a doc's office, so it may be OK for that... although I'd have reservations about using an ASP there as well.  Just 2 cents from someone who's been researching.

DAQ is just as good if not better than any software out there. Anyone interested contact me I can put you in contact with users of DAQ!
ASP based software needs no inhouse IT, server based needs IT inhouse support for problems so it is a per user choice.

I have used DAQ Billing for around 2 years now.  First I used it with one employer, then I recommended it to my next employer and they are still using it.  Their tech support is excellent and they are very friendly.  You feel like you talking to a neighbor, you reach out and they are right there for you.  If they don't have an answer for something, they will always call you back with it.  When I was backed up at work, I was able to catch up from home, open the deposits for the front desk staff to post patients' co-pays and deductibles, do posting, count how many patients and view who was being registered at the time I logged in.  If you need any info, please e-mail me at jgpservice@gmail.com

I'm trying to post a site that you can go to for an online demo of DAQbilling, but the forum won't let me.  I'll try and post the URL address after this post.
