I may be getting a job doing billing from home for a chiropractor soon.  I spoke to Emdeon and they said they could set up the claims to go directly to them from the software the office uses.  When the pmts come in they will be electronically sent to me and then I will download them to the software the office has.
This seems to easy.  I won't have to input any claim info or post pmts/adj--Emdeon will do it all for me.
Does this seem accurate.  Anyone know????????

Can Emdeon do this....yes to a degree.  BUT, they are VERY expensive, their customer service is awful, and they really offer nothing another clearinghouse couldn't do.  Oh, and the concept that ALL of your payments will be posted electronically.....false.  Not every payer participates in Electronic Remittance.  Try, Capario, Gateway or InstaMed as alternate solutions to Emdeon.
