Hi all.
Our hospital is going to electronic records and the girls that are the scanners are really pitching a fit about the time it takes.
I code the ER's here and so I also made sure everything else was there for the chart.
We get about 50 charts a day.  Does anyone know what a benchmark time frame should be for 50 ER charts to be scanned, catalogued and checked for sigs ect.?  I am hearing it will take the girl all day. ??  Thanks!

We do 50 charts in about 15 minutes. That includes scanning the chart, reviewing it for scanning quality, placing it into a scanned batch and burn it to DVD.
