Podiatry Billing Question

I am recently back in the podiatry billing scene working for a previous Dr. In the past when a person would have 11721, it would have to be billed with 110.1 and another code such as 250.00 or 729.5. Is it true that Medicare only looks at the first DX code on the claim? If this is the case, would 250.00 go first, or would the 110.1 go first. I know the other requirements from the policy, just wanted to make sure the DX codes are in the appropiate order for reimbursement.
Thanks for any advice on this issue.

Hi,
code 110.1 can go in the first box, if the reason for visiting and treatment is for that.  Code 250.00 supports and claim will not get denied.  Hope this helps. Good luck

I am in podiatry and it still stands true, 110.1 goes first.  We still use a 2ndary dx as well.
