Hi All,

Do Insurance company accept hand written Meedical records or its neccassary to submit transcribed ones only.

To the best of my knowledge, handwritten medical notes are acceptable as long as they are legible.

As long as the handwritten records are legible the insurance companies should accept them.  One thing to look at though is are the copies you make legible?  We have one provider in our office of 12 that the notes look great in the chart but are hard to read when they are copied and insurance companies have requested that her notes be transcribed
