I have been trying to find out more information about how to code progesterone therapy in a family practice setting - the one we have been using are the 90471 (admin) and J2675(progesterone) . Most insurance companies basically pays a little over a dollar for the progesterone which does not satisfy our overall cost. Is there anybody who can help me with it? Appreciate any help.

you should use 96372 instead of 90471 which is generally for immunizations and for injections you would use 96372. Insurance does not reimburse well for J codes.
