Hosp ER to Inpt status

So I am aware of some things when it comes to ER/Outpt etc... However, I am reading this OP Rpt and it states that the Dr seeing the pt in the ED notified the pt's PCP, the PCP states he will admit the pt into hosp. So would I just use of the ED codes for the Dr/Pt I am working on? OR, would I code the admit code BUT the ER Dr did not admit the pt. (I may have answered the question myself, but I need to think aloud sometimes, so hopefully someone could kindly assist me :] )

Go to the hospital inpatient e/m code guidelines.  That will give you your answer.
