I'm currently a biller with some basic coding experience, but not dictations. Meaning, I can find the code, if you tell me the procedure or diagnosis and I can put it together on a claim correctly. I've gotten all my training on the job and have learned a lot about the billing world.
My previous employer used to be the director of one of Hawai'is largest hospitals billing departments until she opened her own billing company, and now I work for Hawai'is largest practice management company. Both my current supervisor and previous employer have the faith that I would be competent enough to handle free lance billing, out of home.

Does anyone have any advise on how to get started, with meeting clients, and setting up a home office? I don't know anyone in Bellingham, WA where I am moving to and so I'm thinking i'll just have to throw myself into the medical community and try to meet people and spread my name through word of mouth.

Someone please give me some words of guidance?
