1.  Have you set clear and attainable goals?  Such as Creating S.M.A.R.T. Goals
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Timely

2.  Do you have a written work plan to attain those goals?
3.  Have you established a network of like-minded individuals for accountability?
4.  have you joined any trade groups, such as the AAPC local chapter?
5.  Are you on LinkedIn?  This is a huge business social network:
6.  Be positive.

I have been out of the game since I graduated last June, I was denied my diploma in Medical Coding because I could not pay(out of pocket, FAFSA said I was up to my limit and couldn't pay for my last class) and I've had both family & health problems in the meantime. I am now OK but I want to prepare for the upcoming certification AHIMA test in Salt Lake City this fall so I will be studying all summer. I have been keeping up on tips on Youtube but I need help in various other sites where I could also keep up on advances I no longer have access to. Is there another forum I can bring this up to also? My learning material is based on 2011 material only and I know advances are required in all certification testing. Please I need help, thank you.
