Does anyone know the difference between an Office Manager and a Practice Administrator? It was suggested to me by my local medical society to enroll in the association of Practice Administrators, and that it would allow me privileges and information about managing an office.

Dawn,
In my experience these titles often refer to the size of the office. An office manager is leading the day to day workings of the office and may be doing much of the work herself, usually for a smaller office. A practice administrator is often working for a large office and leading on a higher level with managers under them. They are involved in things such as growth of the company, physician recruiting and retention, and overall practice viability. Hope this helps.
