Negotiating my salary

I am new to this sit, so glad I have found it. I have a few questions

I have been a medical biller for 10 years, I have been doing ob/gyn 2 years I am thinking of taking to BMSC test to become a specialist. Any comment on this would be great.
A GYN Dr. has came to me and ask me to do her billing, she does not see a lot of patients about 5-15 a day, 5 days a week.  I have done in house consultation work with her in the past $50 hour.  Her billing is a mess she is losing a lot of money.  I will have a big clean up a lot of rebilling/back billing.  I dont know how to negotiate my salary, I would most likely work 2-3 days, or about 10-15 hours a week. This would be in addition to my full time job.
Thanks for any help

Everyone in our profession should always aspire to become certified.

Try and offer her a percentage of the money you bring in.

10% for claims 60-120 days old.
25% for claims over 120 days old.

This is just a suggestion only and to be used as a guide for you to prepare what You feel you should be paid.
