Hello,

I attented a college for billing and coding in Florida. whom it did not even bother to get me a job. I come to find out that I took this test with NCCT which I passed. It states " NATIONAL CERTIFIED INSURANCE AND CODING SPECIALIST"

I personnaly do not feel comfortable with the certification is it any good to me? should I take the AAPC or AHIMA test instead?

Please highlight some info on NCCT.

Thank

Diane

I had the same thing happen to me years ago after a billing coding course. That test is virtually worthless (at least it was to me.)since nobody out there has even heard of it. Spring for either of the those tests (AAPC or AHIMA) and make it worth your trouble but be sure you know your stuff. The tests are WAAAAY harder than that other one was. Get a practice test off ritecode.com (it's worth the 20 or so bucks)  and see how you do.
