Personal Liability Insurance

2 weeks ago I got my first job as a junior coder, only 1 week out of school. Its only a low paying job with a small company, though I am just pleased that I have work in the industry I love.

But I just found out that the lady I replaced was laid off because of a few errors in her work. The word around the office is that the company is taking legal action towards her, personally!

I always believed that everything was covered under the employer's Liability Insurance? is this so?

So do I need my own cover?

Very worried.... Andrew

Andrew, Do you receive the Coding Edge Magazine from AAPC.

The current issue, Volume 7 Issue 1 has an article very similar to your question.

If not let me know your email address and I can scan the article in for you and email.

Cheers

I know that it is a couple of years later and you may not get this message but if you have the reference article I would be very interested.
