Online medical billing or coding?

Has anyone enrolled and completed an online class for medical billing or coding? What is the name of the school and how satisfied were you? Have you been able to find employment?

I am enrolled with I have 2 chapters and 1 more examination to go before I am finished. The course has taught me so much and the instructors on the forum are great! I would recommend it highly.

Robby, Many thanks for the reply.

You said that the online course was good. Okay, but do you think that you missed out on anything by only dealing with your teacher via email or forums.

As doing a course online would fit my schedule perfect, but I am a little worried that if I have any major problems, that it might be hard to explain or be shown the answer, over the internet?

Please let me know how you went in regards to this matter.

Thank you

Not at all, the support has been really fantastic.  I can shoot an email (and usually get an immediate response) or I can go to the student support forum (and sometimes find an answer before I submit any question) or I can call in and get friendly guidance and assistance.  I was worried about the same thing you are worried about when I was looking at online courses, but I have to say that I feel like I'm actually getting a higher level of support online as opposed to sitting in a classroom.  I think if you sign up you will be surprisingly pleased with the attention that you receive.

Jayde, one more thing.  If you want to see the support in the forum, you can visit it at  I can't remember if I was able to read the posts before I became a student and a member of the forum, but if memory serves correctly, I think I was able to.  I think you just may not be able to post to the forum until you are a member and have the password to post.

Robbie, Thank you for that.

Yes you can view the questions that have been posted online. Will request some information from them. Many thanks

Yes, I took Medical Coding on line. It was with I finished with a score of 93, which I thought was great, with me not knowing anything about the medical profession.

Okay that score sounds great - but do you code now?  I fear that some people may read that and go for let's be sure it was a company that didn't just grade easily.  I took the AAPC year long program while working in the medical field and didn't pass the Exam the first was however, I very touch exam.  I know code also.
Not to be a wet towel, just want people to realize some companies pass students easier than others.  Our Hospital is picky about the type creditionals folks get because of that.

I think it all comes down to the exam when going for a job. Its great it you get a 4.o GPA or 93% etc on a school exam. Though we are all here to evetually get a career within this great industry.

So work on getting some job interviews so to gain experience on different exams.

Even if you do not get the position, do not worry, you should still of gained valuable knowledge of the exam for your next time.
