There's a patient comes in because he has a chin laceration. The Dr. exam the head no evidence of a head injury . The length of the laceration 2cm. The Dr. repairs the laceration and three suture were place. My Question is can you bill the laceration repair with the e/m? or do you only bill the laceration? also when the patient comes back within 10 days for suture removal so do you only bill the E/m code that is approriate for the level of service? I so confused, please help.

i am confused,  my qyuestions are,  are you looking for someone to give you the code or to teach you how to code for repairs?

Was the main reason for the visit, the wound only or is there something else that brought the patient to your provider?
