Does anyone know how to bill a holter monitor for 48 hour
We have been billing 93224 on two lines with the correct DOS - and have been getting paid. Now Humana Gold is saying we are not billing correctly - that the second day should not be billed that way - just wondering if anyone has info or can direct me to the correct way to bill this- we own the equipment and our cardiologist does the interp. Thanks for your help -Mary Ann

Please use 93224 when putting the holter monitor and 93227 when removing the same.

For example are you saying bill 93224 for 1/7/10 (which is the date the monitor was put on the patient) and the patient will come back in to have the monitor removed on 1/9/10 and then I should bill 93227
