Important Information for AHiMA members - CEUs

CEU Reporting Updates - (Updates as of January 20, 2017)

Earned CEUs (for those whose cycle ended on 12/31/2016):
Due to technical difficulties and increased demand on the AHIMA's CEU Center and web store during this peak CEU earning and reporting period, AHIMA is extending the period where you can earn CEUs to March 31, 2017, from the original date of December 31, 2016.

This means you can continue to earn CEUs through the first quarter of this year and continue to enter any CEUs earned prior to March 31, 2017. Grace period for reporting CEUs for 2016 remains through March 31, 2017. Any CEUs earned and self reviews (for coding credentials) completed by March 31, 2017, will count toward your recertification requirements.

CEU Deadlines:

If your recertification cycle ends on December 31, 2016, you have until March 31, 2017, to report your CEUs without incurring a late fee.
If you are attempting to reinstate a revoked credential prior to the December 31, 2016, deadline, we have extended the deadline for reinstatement to March 31, 2017.
If you are a holder of an AHIMA coding credential (CCA, CCS, CSS-P), the 2016 coding self-review will continue to be available, and you will have until March 31, 2017, to complete the self-review.

Membership:
If your membership renewal is due on December 31, 2016, you may renew at any time without additional cost.
