Speaker Bio:

Ms. Boschert has been in the medical field for over 20 years. She is the former CEO of Words, Inc, a Medical Transcription, Medical Billing and Consultant Company, and Transcription School. As a PMCC instructor and Director of the Allied Health Programs at the Career Institute of Florida, she has created and developed custom lecture materials and exercises to establish training that simulates the real work setting. Darlene is also currently the President and
CEO of Bayside Medical Billing, LLC.

Ms. Boschert successfully operated her own transcription, billing and consulting company from 1984 to 1992, employing more than 45 people and serving over 40 physicians and 10 hospitals in 6 different states. She has also worked for 12 years as Business Administrator for an orthopedic practice.

Ms. Boschert is a consultant and national speaker for Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Aetna, and many other insurance plans. She is a consultant in her own business putting on seminars, both locally and nationally, for various organizations including The Coding Institute and the American Academy for Professional Coders.

Ms. Boschert is a Certified Procedural Coder, Certified Procedural Coder - Hospital, Certified Medical Transcriptionist, Certified HIPAA Compliance Officer and Certified in Healthcare Privacy. In 2004, she was awarded the honor of "Faculty Member of the Year" by the Florida Association of Post Secondary Schools and Colleges. Ms. Boschert is also on the American Academy of Professional Coders National Advisory Board. She is past President-elect for New Port Richey, FL AAPC local chapter.
