We had a patient come into the ER for low blood pressure and general weakness. They received NS 250ml IV over a 15 minute period and were discharged home. No other medications were given. I'm pretty sure I can't bill for this since it was under 31 minutes. My employer states I can and it would be coded as 96374 (initial primary IVP). Would someone please clarify for me? Thank you!
