Good Morning,

I would like your input regarding the following scenario:

The patient comes to her appointment at her allergy specialist office. She self administers her Dupixent injection while the medical staff observes that she is doing it correctly. This is performed since she will eventually be self-administering this injection at home.

Dupixent injection is provided to the specialist office by a specialty pharmacy. So the patient does not bring it into the office.

How would this be charged?

Will you charge this visit to the "administration" 96401? (this is the charge used for this drug administration in the office).

I would appreciate any input. Not sure if anyone has experienced this same scenario.

Thanks!
