cpt-36591 is denied as inclusive when submitted with port flush (96523 & J1642)& cpt-85025.can anyone help me in this topic .how to get payment for cpt-36591

CMS rules indicate that when a port flush and a port draw for blood on the same day - you may only bill the blood draw from the port (36591) or a level of service (on the faility side)/ If billing just for professional service you may only bill one or the other but never together 96523 + J code or 36591. - In this case you will need to either bill a corrected claim or w/off the 36591.

I am new to oncology I saw your post when looking into what code to use heparin flush procedure.
I can only bill the 96523. Not the heparin, correct?
