Hello everyone, I'm currently in college working towards an associates degree in medical administration but focusing more on the topic of coding. My question is, are you a coder? Do you like your job? As well as- would you recommend working from home? Thank you!

Hi Larissa! I do love my job! I have been coding since 2011 from a regular office up until the pandemic shut us down and we have had to work from home. Working from home takes a lot of discipline. One thing I do miss is bouncing ideas or thought processes off of one another in the office when you come across a tough chart. But thankfully we can securely email each other with scenarios that we run across. I would say to start out it would be helpful to be in an office with others if possible. But we all know you need to get a job first. I started in billing and worked my way into a coding position. You have to start somewhere! ??. Good luck on your future career!
