So you have your disaster recovery program in place, you have a way to replace your servers if they get melted into slag because the Earth for some reason drifts too close to the Sun or whatever, and you have a nice fat insurance policy to pay for it all when disaster day does strike. So you're good to go, right?
Not quite. We have one last thing to cover. What we have talked about previously is Disaster Recovery. What I want to talk about now is Business Continuity. Business Continuity is the ability of your business to survive and adapt to various challenges that are not classified as disasters. For example, how would your business carry on if you died? How would your business carry on if the government went crazy and started passing all kinds of crazy laws? Oh, wait. It's doing that now. Never mind.
But you see what I mean. These are not disasters like light...
