After a seven-year battle with cancer, Patrick Phillips passed away on June 5, 2024. His son Adam has been the CEO of American Business Systems for several years, continuing his father's legacy, and is also a contributing editor to BC Magazine.
Patrick Phillips is an entrepreneur, best-selling author and Founder and CEO of the nation's largest network of independent medical billing companies. He and his wife, Linda, started a medical billing business in 1987, working from their home, and began licensing their proprietary billing systems to others through American Business Systems, LLC in 1994. He is the author of a guide for doctors, Cash Crunch to Cash Flow … How to Get More Money Faster into Your Professional Practice ... and Plug the Hidden Leaks that Are Draining Profits. Patrick has taught thousands of people from coast-to-coast how to use the secrets found in his book, How to Reprogram Yourself for Success, to become more prosperous and productive as human beings. He has been interviewed on a dozens of national radio and television programs and hosts a weekly webinar on how to start your own medical billing business. He has also co-authored a book with Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer, titled Wake Up & Live The Life You Love, Finding Your Passion. He has had articles published in a number of magazines, including the Healthcare Billing and Management Association's BILLING JOURNAL and BC Advantage Magazine.
